BELIZE, Tues. April 2, 2024 – “It’s only up from here,” Belizean Dancehall Queen, Brithney Starr told 501 Publicized in an exclusive interview following her stellar performances in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

The songstress shared that her brief moment within the music scene in Jamaica was an eye-opening experience for her.

“Ih just mek I realize that we as Belizeans need to do more, we need to put in more nuh, being out there and seeing how serious the guys out there take their craft, and I’m not only talking about the performers, the people in general,” the Prettier Than Them artist said.

She shared that while being in Jamaica feels a lot like a home away from home, it’s not without its challenges.

“In Belize, they know me right, in Jamaica, nobody really knows me so I think it’s harder, I think the critique definitely 10 times harder out here,” the artist told us.

Despite this, she shared that the time in Jamaica has helped her to get a clearer picture and become more enthusiastic to take on her artistic goals.

“It’s only up from here, that’s how I see it. I plan to travel more, I have big shows already lined up. I also have the Belizean International Food and Music Festival performance coming up, and I make sure to go all out for that show – 100 and more,” Brithney said.

She hinted at an imminent collab with an upcoming international Jamaican artist and said that more music, videos, and stage shows are in the pipeline for the Starr Alliance team.

“I’m not about to stop anytime soon,” that artist said.

Brithney Starr gave a shout-out to her dedicated team and sponsors who include the Belize Tourism Board, Smart Belize, Remanence Sound, and of course, the Starr Alliance
