Got what it takes?
BELMOPAN – The Football Federation of Belize (FFB) is looking to train the new generation of Belizean referees. A call to join the FFB team was made via their social media platforms.
The recruitment process of a new cohort of referees is currently on going. The FFB is asking persons that have a passion for football and its development to put their applications forward. A core requirement is for applicants to also have aspiration to be an international referee – indicating that the training received will be in line with world class FIFA standard.
Applicants must be at least 16 years of age or older, have a Highschool diploma at minimum, a passion for fair play, and most importantly a love for the game. This is a great opportunity for young Belizeans looking to contribute to football in our country.
A one day crash course will take place at the Victor Sanchez Union Field in Toledo on Saturday February 3rd. For more info contact the coordinator Jamael Pop at 627-8615.
The point person from the FFB to contact is Omario Contreras – his number is 613-5563, and email is omario_contreras@footballfedrationbelize.bz.
